At age 8, Linda Baskerville was already experimenting with marijuana and hard liquor. With little education and an abusive family history, Linda soon developed an addiction to crack cocaine. As a result of her drug use, Linda’s kids were taken away from her and placed in foster care.

Linda’s highest hopes rest with her eldest daughter Sharifea’s dream of going to college and becoming a pediatrician. “Somebody got to break the vicious cycle,” Linda says, “somebody gotta break it.”
